According to reports, Odette Kane, 51, and Robert Kane, 79 were traveling in a black Cadillac at the entrance of Boca Isles South at Cain Boulevard and Point Royal Drive west of Boca Raton at approximately 6:30 p.m.  At the same time, Angela Stracar, 24, was traveling northbound on Cain Boulevard.  For some reason, she lost control of her GMC SUV.  This loss of control led her onto the grass next to the road and through the sign that marks the entrance of the Boca Isles South subdivision.

This collision sent the GMC SUV airborne.  In horrific fashion, the SUV landed on top of the Cadillac that was traveling on Cain Boulevard and turning into the development at Point Royal Drive.  The impact of the SUV on the Cadillac crushed the passenger compartment and sent both vehicles into rollovers.  Both members of the Kane family were killed at the scene.  Starcar was moved to a local hospital and reportedly was in good condition.
